AOM (Air and Odour Management) Australia & Bilby Group (TECHNICS SECURITY AUSTRALIA PTY. LIMITED) is a national leader in the supply of commercial kitchen exhaust and filtration equipment. With an established network of staff throughout Australia and New Zealand, AOM Australia supplies equipment to some of the largest national commercial kitchens and retail developments. AOM Australia manufactures filtration equipment and exhaust / ventilation systems (commercial kitchen exhaust hoods) and we require an experienced mechanical engineer to work on the design / manufacturing and after sales support of our air filtration equipment products. The candidate will be based in the AOM Australia partner site in Metro Melbourne and will oversee the commissioning and performance evaluation of the AOM range of air filtration products as well as the commissioning and after sales support of the AOM products sold into the State of Victoria.

Task & responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems for air and odour management solutions
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for proposed projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Routine service, maintenance and repair of AOM filtration equipment as well as other products used for the running of commercial kitchen exhaust systems.
- Carrying out daily service and maintenance calls on AOM equipment throughout Melbourne.
- Perform diagnostic checks and carrying out necessary repairs of AOM filtration equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and failure analysis to optimise system performance to meet AOM specifications.
- Design and improve configurations to enhance efficiency and meet specific client requriements, managing schedules and emergency maintenance operations, ensuring minimal downtime for clients
- Carry out after sales support and warranty call outs and non warranty works including quoting of said works.
- Developing further service and maintenance business.
Qualification & experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical design and project management
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
