Who we are
The Digital and Technology Services (DTS) branch contributes to the success of the ACMA by supporting employees through the provision of core ICT functions and the delivery of a coordinated program of Digital and Technology projects to internal and external stakeholders. As an enabling service, DTS works with the ACMA through the provision of specialised ICT systems, exploring digital business opportunities, and supporting ACMA enquiry handling and service delivery via the Customer Services Centre and online channels.

About the role
The ICT Project Management Office sits within the DTS branch to provide critical advice, expertise and leadership of best practice ICT and Digital service delivery for the ACMA. The Manager – ICT Project Management Office reports directly to the Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO) as part of the DTS management team. 
 

The key duties of the position include:

As the Manager, ICT Project Management Office (PMO), you will

  • Lead and manage a team of project managers to drive quality outcomes applying best practice project management disciplines and processes, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, to scope and agreed quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain an effective “fit for purpose” ICT PMO including all supporting tools, processes and methodologies to ensure consistency, accuracy and governance of projects.
  • Support project managers and project sponsors in achieving the desired results from project investments. This includes providing progress reports and briefs including tracking and effective management of risks and issues, program and project progress, deliverables, resourcing and other matters.
  • Monitoring program and project performance, identifying areas requiring improvement or change and determining appropriate action.
  • Provide project management guidance and leadership to ICT staff and more broadly across the ACMA.
  • Lead and manage DTS Branch procurement activity and contract management.
  • Directly support the CIDO on DTS Branch financial strategy, financial issues and performance, including regular tracking and reporting and the development of bids for funding.
Eligibility

To be eligible for employment with ACMA, applicants must be an Australian citizen. 

Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline level security clearance or hold a current security clearance of an appropriate level.  Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA).

Suitable candidates will be placed in a merit pool from this selection process and may be used to fill similar ongoing roles in other areas of ACMA. Non-ongoing opportunities may be offered as a specified term.
