About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Braeside, Victoria.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Repairing and maintaining plant machinery and equipment, including continuous batch washing machines, dryers, ironer lines, conveyors, compressors, and pumps.

  • Troubleshooting and replacing control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, push buttons, contactors, and motor starters (low voltage).

  • Performing work order repairs, inspections, and necessary adjustments.

  • Fabricating and modifying new and existing equipment as needed.

  • Participating in safety, health, and environmental programs.

  • Conduct other ad-hoc tasks as required.

In this role, you will work a changing shift schedule and on a rotating weekend.

  • Hours: 38 per week, plus overtime and weekend rotations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience with pneumatics, mechanics, basic repairs, and fabrication.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to conduct mechanical repairs (e.g., replacing chains, belts, and bearings).

  • Proficiency in writing detailed repair reports and strong verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.

  • The ability to set up and operate welders, drill presses, grinders, hand tools, and other metalworking equipment.

  • Basic knowledge of computer software and a willingness to learn maintenance systems.

A post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate is highly regarded. 

Candidates with prior experience in laundry equipment maintenance and repair or has dual trade or experience in both fields will be given preference.
