Maintenance Electrician Afternoon Shift

• Must be able to work overtime

• Registered Vic Electrician (A-Grade)

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for the position of Maintenance Electrician to join a well-established and growing food industry company based in Reservoir / North Coburg. 

What you'll be doing with us

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager your key responsibilities will be varied and include:

• Extensive experience in the food industry to assist with various duties including new equipment installs and commissioning plus general maintenance and repairs

• Working in clean, modern facilities on various types of meat processing, forming, packing machines, plus conveyor systems

• Electrical and mechanical work, must have good understanding of food and packaging machines

• Assist with machine set ups, fine tuning and maintenance of new and existing machines

• Mentoring and supervising a mature age electrical apprentice who is part of the maintenance team

What you'll need to succeed

• Victorian Electrician license (A-Grade)

• Must be flexible and available for weekend work and public holidays

• Maintenance experience with food packaging machines

• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience

• PLC knowledge and experience (preferable)

• Able to communicate effectively to gain the cooperation of others

• Excellent team player, progressive, innovative, flexible and reliable

• Willing to learn and develop new skills

• Willing to mentor others, share knowledge and skills across the company
