Edge Early Learning Plympton provides quality childcare and kindergarten for children aged six weeks to school age. About the role

Join our dynamic team as a Lead Educator in our Toddler Room, where you'll play a key role in guiding children's learning and development through engaging, play-based programs. As a passionate leader, you’ll mentor and support your fellow educators, foster a positive learning environment, and build strong relationships with families. Bring your creativity, experience, and leadership skills to help shape the future of young learners in a nurturing and innovative setting.

Our enquiry-based approach encourages children to ask questions, explore new interests, and develop a love of learning through play-based experiences. This method is instrumental in enhancing problem-solving and communication skills, building confidence, and fostering strong peer relationships as children progress into our Kindergarten program and beyond.

As a Lead Educator, you will:

  • Lead and Mentor: Guide a team of educators within a room, focusing on individual development and mentoring to ensure the highest standards of care and supervision.
  • Collaborate: Work seamlessly with fellow educators to develop and implement inspirational educational programs.
  • Create: Foster a friendly, secure, and stimulating interactive learning environment.
  • Develop: Nurture our team members, empowering them to confidently contribute to our children’s learning journeys.
  • Connect: Build trusting and honest relationships with children, families, colleagues, management, and community stakeholders.
  • Ensure Excellence: Maintain compliance with EYLF and NQS standards, aiming to exceed expectations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • Current Working With Children check and RRHAN Notification
  • Current First Aid & CPR (HLTAID004) Certificate
  • Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate
  • Prior experience as a Lead Educator is essential.
