Junior/Graduate Lawyer – Industrial Deafness / Workers Compensation

About the role

Turner Freeman Lawyers is expanding, and we are looking for a Junior or Graduate Lawyer to join our Adelaide team. This is an exciting opportunity to build your legal career in the area of workers’ compensation law, primarily in claims arising from industrial deafness, with a well-established firm known for delivering outstanding outcomes for clients.

 What you will be doing

In this role, you will work closely with experienced legal professionals and be supported as you grow and develop. Your responsibilities will include:

·         Liaising with clients

·         File review and preparation

·         Drafting correspondence and court documents

·         Attending directions hearings and conciliation conferences in the SA Employment Tribunal

·         Maintaining detailed records and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

·         Contributing to the wider team through research, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

 What we are looking for

·         Relevant law degree and admission to practise as a lawyer

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused approach

·         Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

·         High attention to detail with excellent time management

·         Self-motivated with a proactive approach to your work

·         A team player who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment

·         Confidence using MS Office and legal research tools

·         Previous experience in workers' compensation, industrial deafness, or litigation will be highly regarded.
