The Role we are Offering!

Reporting to an Executive Adjustor the role of Insurance Claims Administrator is dynamic, fast paced and diverse that will see you work directly with Insurance Claims Adjustors and the Claims Admin team. By joining our team you will work with a highly experienced and customer centric team supporting rapidly growing commercial, industrial and agricultural insurance clients. You will be responsible for claim initiation, site visit inspections, insurance claim reporting, third party maintenance and specialist companies (e.g. builders, hygienist, engineers, building restorers & individual trades) submission of formal insurance claims through to final outcomes to close out the claims formally. 

You will thrive in this environment when you can work from home majority of the time, be empowered to work normal core working hours but if you need to juggle family/home/personal matters that is fully supported. We will offer you a full at home IT set-up with a laptop, monitor and keyboard plus if you need support with any ergonomic equipment that can be discussed as well. Our team are spread across Australia with colleagues in all states with our central base being Brisbane where everyone works from home and connects in person on an ad hoc basis – so Astute Adjusting offer great working flexibility!

About You

If you are looking to build upon your current insurance or claims administrative skills within a hands-on supportive administrative team, then this position is for you!

To be successful you will have;

  • Experience in an Insurance or Claims Management system is essential!
  • Strong computer literacy in MS Office Word, Excel, Email and a shared team inbox with excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including a positive “can-do” attitude, strong teamwork spirit and work ethic
  • Substantial administrative experience in a range of tasks including document management, invoicing, registration of new jobs (claims), issuing documents to third parties, requesting attendance to site meetings, giving directions either over the phone or emails and general follow-up tasks. 
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, self-starter, strong attention to detail and happy to work autonomous and within a team environment.
  • Natural ability to prioritise tasks “on the fly” to support the claims admin team and Senior Claims Adjustors supporting our clients.
