The HMA Group of Companies manufactures, sells, and services a wide range of capital plant equipment to a diverse range of industries, including oil & gas, petrochemical, mineral processing, water management and power generation.

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Instrumentation and Analyser Technician to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for commissioning, calibration, and maintenance of various instrumentation products including; Pressure Gauges,  Analysers (physical properties), Oil in Water Monitors, Flow Meters, Mechanical Thermal Expansion Joints and Pressure/Level/Temperature Transmitters, Fire & Gas Detection and Boiler Control Systems.

HMA operates a NATA certified Pressure Calibration Laboratory, the ideal candidate with have prior experience with NATA and ISO9001 quality processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform and oversee the calibration of various types of instrumentation, including mechanical and electronic pressure and vacuum gauges.

  • Maintain accurate records of calibration, maintenance, and testing activities, including issuing certificates and reports in line with NATA standards.

  • Commission, diagnose and resolve technical issues with pressure instruments, Analysers and Flow Meters.

  • Site Support for all HMA products.

  • Willing to travel to customer sites locally, Interstate, Internationally and Offshore. 

  • Build rapport and develop a professional relationship with internal and external clients.

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and assist with the development of standard operating procedures.

  • Work together with Product Managers, Division Manager and General Manager to determine sales and marketing strategy for the territory.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant Degree, Diploma, or Trade (Instrumentation, Electrical, Process, Chemical, etc).

  • Hands-on experience with a variety of instrumentation, including temperature, pressure, flow, level, and analytical instruments.

  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

  • Proficient in the use of calibration tools, software, and measurement equipment.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues efficiently .

  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant work experience.
