Job description:Impairments Benefits Analyst $133,944 per annum + 11.5% superannuation Full time, ongoing opportunity Wadawurrung Country / Geelong based role (hybrid model, work from home, 3 days a week in office) About the opportunityWorkSafe is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Impairment Benefits Analyst to join our dynamic team. This full-time, ongoing position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by overseeing the management of impairment benefit claims; ensuring workers receive timely entitlement in line with the AMA Guides and relevant legislation. As part of the Impairment Benefits Team within the Claims Division, you will be pivotal in supporting agents, assessing their performance, and continuously driving improvements in claims management.Key responsibilities & accountabilities include, Overseeing and monitoring Agent performance on impairment benefit claims, ensuring compliance with performance measures and legislative requirements. Providing expert guidance and support to Agents, stakeholders, and the broader business on claims management. Identifying performance gaps and develop/implement improvement programs, policies, and measures. Engaging with Agent representatives to enhance capability and drive performance improvements. Support training and development programs for Agents and Independent Impairment Assessors, including after-hours initiatives. Contributing to achieving business goals by supporting the broader Insurance Business Unit (IBU) teams. About you You are an experienced Claims and Impairments expert, who is looking for a challenge and to make a difference. You have a passion for assisting the Victorian community and providing the highest level of service, priding yourself in being flexible, agile and responsive to support the achievement of business goals. Extensive knowledge of claims management processes particularly an understanding of the Victorian system for managing, compensating work injuries, including the ACCtion and NOVUS systems. A high level of communication skills (written and oral), including facilitation of groups, the ability to give advice and information and be able to interpret existing legislation and policy particularly relating to claims management. An ability to investigate, research and provide authoritative recommendations on claims management strategies aimed at ensuring continuous improvement. Excellent planning and organization skills and to work to deadlines. Proven ability to effectively translate policy into operational processes, procedures and practices. The ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and claims agents. Extensive experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of initiatives or projects.
