The RoleCollins Submarine Program is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Integrated Logistics Support Officer to join their team.
In this role you will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex materiel logistics work within an integrated workforce to achieve the following:Managing governance and assurance requirements to transition ILS artefacts into service.In-service management of the Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) capability by employing ILS methodology to reduce the cost of ownership whilst delivering seaworthiness outcomes and material availability to meet Navy’s requirements.
You will work independently to ensure completion of all ILS tasks related to the CCSM including Governance and Assurance activities of ILS artefacts delivered by other enterprise stakeholders, including CCSM Projects and in-service support contractors.
You will:Have comprehensive knowledge and be able to interpret relevant ILS Policy and Procedures and advise stakeholders on required outcomes.Possess a sound knowledge of relevant Engineering and Logistics Information Systems and associated governance and assurance framework requirements.
About our TeamThe Collins Submarine Program within the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG) is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia’s Collins Class submarines. The Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability to the nation.

Our Ideal CandidateTo be successful in this role you will need to be able to:Lead a team, allocate work, develop strategies and evaluate business outcomes.Prepare, implement and maintain policy, processes and procedures to support the sustainment in accordance with Defence requirements.Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders.Experience in managing staff and working effectively at the APS 6 level.Advise on Integrated Logistic Support Instructions and materiel support plans.Review, analyse and report on materiel logistic performance in sustainment.
