The Company

Our client operates a botanical garden which covers 14 hectares within the Queens Domain area in Hobart.

The Role

• Assist in planting, watering, weeding and fertilising plants
• Monitor and maintain plant health, identifying and addressing any issues
• Recognise and address pest and disease issues in a timely manner
• Supporting the lead Horticulturalist during the execution of day-day operations

Requirements

• Qualified in Horticulture with a certificate 2-4
• Preferable experience
• Experience in horticulture maintenance
• Planting, weeding, mulching, watering and general maintenance
• Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Hours of work:

• Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work
• 7:45am to 4.36pm - Monday to Friday
• $34.00 per hour casual rate plus Superannuation and O/T
• 6-8 week placement
