Coffee on Cue is looking for a Head Barista to lead our barista training, quality control, and service execution across events, office coffee sites, and in-house barista locations. Now, we’re on the lookout for a Head Barista to ensure our coffee quality, training, and service remain industry-leading across all locations. What You'll be Doing Coffee Quality & Standards – Maintain and uphold coffee quality consistency across all events, office coffee sites, and in-house barista locations.Training & Development – Recruit new baristas, lead barista training, shadowing programs, refresher training, and act as the main contact for all baristas.Quality Control & Industry Best Practices – Participate in cupping sessions, blend development, and roastery cuppings to ensure continuous improvement in our coffee program.Recruitment Support – Assist the Operations Manager in barista interviews and skill assessments.Service Execution – Provide exceptional coffee service at events and in-house barista sites when required.Leadership & Mentorship – Set the standard for service excellence, professionalism, and hospitality.Resource & Equipment Management – Ensure all baristas follow machine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting best practices.Client & Team Communication – Work closely with Operations Managers and event coordinators to ensure smooth service delivery. What We're Looking For Extensive barista experience, including high-volume coffee service.Proven experience in barista recruitment, training, mentorship, and development.Passion for coffee quality, consistency, and industry best practices.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment.Experience with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.Organised and detail-oriented, ensuring standards and procedures are consistently followed. Key Metrics for Success Consistent coffee quality across all service locations – NPS on coffee quality 9/10 or above.Successful training and onboarding of new baristas – New baristas fully trained within 2 weeks or less.Positive client and customer feedback on service – NPS on coffee service 9/10 or above.
