Our dwellings for rent are located in a quiet semi-rural residential area of the Logan region conveniently close to shops, hospitals, medical centres, golf course and clubs.
About The Role
We’re on the lookout for a motivated and hands-on Handyman / Maintenance officer to join our team in Chambers Flat. Working unsupervised, you will be highly motivated and capable of providing a high level of customer service. This position is approximately 38 hours per week on a fulltime basis.
Responsibilities
As Maintenance Officer, your duties will include, but are not limited to;
Basic carpentry (e.g. hanging doors, installing door hardware and locks)Painting, gyprock and wall patch repairsFlyscreens, basic tiling, minor fencingGeneral property clean-ups, rubbish removal, basic gardening & moreAdminister all repairs and or maintenance to tools, equipment and machineryRegularly check and attend to general repairs to accommodation and amenities; including fixing toilets and tapsEnsuring the site is maintained and presented at a high standard at all timesGarden labour such as pruning, weeding, hedging and mowing are to be completed in a timely manner and of a high-quality condition.Ensure the proper and safe use and storage of all materials, consumables and gardening equipmentMonitor and maintain a small sewerage treatment plantOther tasks including emptying rubbish bins, pool maintenance and garden restoration
About You
Previous experience working as a handyman or in a maintenance position'C' Class Driver's LicenceAbility to work with limited supervisionGreat customer service skills teamed with a positive attitude and a strong attention to detailAvailability to work weekends and public holidays on a rotating roster
