Gardener Maintenance Beekeeper - Private acreage

We are seeking a motivated and pro-active gardener & maintenance person for a private acreage on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Also an important part of the role is maintaining and harvesting around 50 bee hives situated on the property.

Must be able to work unsupervised and liaise with the owner as needed. Position is for two days per week (permanent part time).

About the Role:

• Two days per week (8 hours per day) from 7.30am - 4.30pm (may be negotiated)

• Mowing, whipper snipping, hedging and general garden maintenance.

• General and ad-hoc maintenance (handy man skills well regarded).

• Opportunity to discuss and develop sections of the garden.

• Liaise with the property owner to discuss garden improvements and any specific gardening needs.

• Maintaining and harvesting around 50 bee hives situated on the property.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proven experience in gardening or horticulture would be useful.

• Beekeeping experience, either professional or as a hobby well regarded. Additional training can be provided.

• Must have a valid Driver's Licence

• Experience with a chainsaw (training can be provided).

• Safe chemical use/handling (training provided).

• References are required and background checks will be carried out. Clean police record essential.
