We are seeking a Gardener & Region Coordinator to lead the caretaking team operations across our North Brisbane portfolio, covering sites in Hendra, McDowall, and Mango Hill. This role blends hands-on gardening and landscaping with team coordination, ensuring the presentation and care of our communities is delivered to the highest standard.
As a key member of the Caretaking Team, you’ll oversee the day-to-day work of caretakers across multiple townhouse complexes while also completing on-the-ground gardening and caretaking tasks. You’ll work closely with the Caretaking Team Leader and report to the Head of Caretaking, ensuring seamless service, presentation, and resident satisfaction across the region.
Groundskeeping & Landscaping:
Maintain and enhance gardens, lawns, and communal areas across multiple properties
Complete routine gardening tasks (pruning, watering, planting, fertilising, weeding)
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure presentation, safety, and maintenance standards are upheld
Deliver seasonal and ad hoc landscaping tasks as required
Maintain bin areas, pathways, and common outdoor spaces to a clean, high standard
Team Coordination & Site Oversight
Lead, support, and coordinate caretaking staff across the North Brisbane sites
Allocate daily tasks and monitor staff performance and presentation quality
Communicate clearly and respectfully with staff, residents, and stakeholders
Report maintenance issues, schedule contractor visits, and ensure WHS compliance
Maintain records, logs, and reports related to caretaking activity and inspections
Background in gardening, landscaping, or caretaking (horticulture qualification preferred)
Previous leadership or team coordination experience is highly desirable
Great communicator who takes pride in their work and leads by example
Well-organised with strong time management and proactive problem-solving skills
Tech-savvy with confidence using basic job tracking or reporting systems
Understanding of residential or strata environments is a bonus
