Front of House Duty Manager (Casual)  

Merrigong Theatre Company is seeking an experienced Front of House Duty Manager to lead our Front of House team in providing a safe welcoming environment for all patrons and customers attending performance at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre (IPAC) and the Wollongong Town Hall.   This position reports directly to the Front of House Manager and will work alongside a pool of casuals to ensure every event within a 7-day roster is covered by a Front of House Duty Manager.  

You will have experience in the performing arts or events sector with strong operational experience in a fast-paced, creative environment. You will also have supervisory or management experience and the ability to remain calm and professional at all times.  

The selection criteria include:

  • Previous Front of House experience
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Experience supervising a team of staff
  • Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety
  • Good communication skills
  • Availability to work within a 7-day roster including evening & weekend shifts
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol accreditation
  • Current Senior

First Aid Certificate HLTAID0011

  • Competent knowledge and experience using of Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Willingness and ability to remain calm and lead in an emergency or evacuation setting (if/when required)

The position is paid at Level 6 (casual rate) as per the Live Performance Award 2020.
