The Fleet Manager is responsible to oversee vehicle procurement, maintenance, and usage to ensure cost efficiency and regulatory compliance. They negotiate purchases or leases, manage disposals, monitor expenses, and optimize fleet performance. Key duties include implementing safety protocols, maintaining records, utilizing fleet management software, and coordinating with suppliers and insurers.

Tasks & responsibilities
In this role You will be responsible for:
- Assessing vehicle requirements based on business needs and operational demands.
- Sourcing and negotiating the purchase or lease of vehicles to ensure cost-effectiveness and suitability.
- Coordinating the resale or disposal of vehicles in compliance with company policies and market conditions.
- Managing fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are regularly serviced, maintained, and meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Implementing strategies to optimize fleet performance, reduce operational costs, and improve fuel efficiency.
- Monitoring and controlling vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and overall fleet expenses.
- Providing expert advice to rental agencies and leasing companies regarding vehicle selection, acquisition, and fleet optimization.
- Maintaining accurate records related to vehicle transactions, maintenance schedules, insurance, and compliance documentation.
- Conducting market research to identify trends and innovations in fleet management, vehicle technology, and rental/leasing practices.
- Ensuring compliance with government regulations, environmental policies, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Developing and implementing fleet policies, risk management strategies, and driver safety programs.
- Utilizing fleet management software and telematics systems to track vehicle performance and usage analytics.
- Coordinating with suppliers, insurers, and regulatory bodies to streamline fleet operations and manage insurance claims.
Qualifications & experience
- Relevant Diploma or equivalent work experience, with a focus on transport logistics technology preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a fleet manager or at similar role, with exposure to transport logistics systems and software.
- Applicants with HR license would be considered
