As we continue to grow our clientele, we are seeking a talented Fire Safety Assessor to join our team and complete the compliance and certification process for our clients.
Job Description
As a Fire Safety Assessor for our Fire Safety Certification team, you will be responsible for attending site & completing an assessment of the premises to sign off on the building for the Annual Fire Safety Statement. Your expertise in fire safety compliance and certification procedures will be instrumental in assisting clients in achieving and retaining their annual certifications.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients to understand their fire safety certification requirements and develop tailored compliance strategies to meet their specific needs.Stay updated on relevant fire safety codes, regulations, and standards (e.g, NCC/BCA & Australian Standards) to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.Conduct thorough assessments of client facilities, identifying areas of non-compliance and recommending necessary corrective actions to meet certification standards.Guide clients through the certification process, providing expert advice on necessary modifications, equipment upgrades, and procedural enhancements.Prepare and review documentation and reports required for certification submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines.Coordinate with the client to facilitate inspections and ensure timely certification approvals.Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in fire safety technology, sharing knowledge with clients to enhance their compliance and certification efforts.Maintain accurate records and documentation related to certification processes, inspections, audits, and client interactions.
Qualifications
FPA - Accredited Practitioner (Fire Safety) Qualification is required (Transitional will be considered)Strong knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and standards, including the NCC/BCA & Australian Standards.Experience with fire safety certification processes and familiarity with certification bodies and their requirements.Excellent understanding of fire protection systems, equipment, and emergency response procedures.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex fire safety scenarios and develop effective solutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and regulatory authorities.Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously..
