About the Role
The General Manager and Board are seeking an experienced Finance Professional who’s not just great with numbers, but also passionate about making a difference. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll take ownership of the financial operations and play a key role in shaping how the finance function assists in shaping the future of the Centre. You’ll be hands-on, proactive, and are naturally curious, always looking for ways to improve systems, streamline reporting, and support growth. You will drive improvements in the quality and timeliness of the financial reports with detailed written analysis of the results. Enhance controls and systems will improve the financial discipline across all operating business units.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering accurate, timely monthly financial reports with meaningful insights
- Leading budgeting and forecasting processes with department managers
- Managing payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow
- Ensuring compliance with tax, audit and regulatory requirements
- Overseeing financial systems (MYOB), reporting tools and internal controls
- Managing lease, grant and NDIS invoicing for our Wellness Precinct
- Supporting strategic projects and annual planning alongside the GM
- Being a trusted advisor to the leadership team and Board
What You’ll Bring - A degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce (CA/CPA preferred but not essential)
- Hands-on finance experience in a small to medium organisation
- Confidence working across reporting, compliance, budgeting and forecasting
- Strong systems and Excel skills, and experience using MYOB (or similar)
- A team-first mindset and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- The ability to lead, influence and collaborate across the business
- A genuine passion for purpose-driven work that supports the community
