Responsibilities:
As the Facilities Manager at Fragile Removals & Storage, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our storage operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing strategic plans for the storage operation and its physical assets.
  • Coordinating contractual arrangements with clients for storage facility space.
  • Setting clear operational goals to enhance revenue and operational efficiency.
  • Supervising facility employees to ensure smooth operations.
  • Implementing and evaluating facility maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Managing maintenance of storage structures and equipment.
  • Ensuring accurate tracking and maintenance of storage inventory and records.
  • Cultivating strong client relationships through effective communication and reporting.
  • Collaborating with external parties to support business decisions.
  • Resolving client queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Conducting staff meetings and managing schedules for a seamless 7-day operation.
  • Overseeing budget control and evaluating costs related to facility operations.
  • Handling insurance requirements and procurement for liability and facility coverage.
  • Procuring equipment, materials, and branded storage containers to meet company standards.
  • Reporting operational issues and implementing necessary procedures for optimal facility functioning.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in facilities management, Removalist and Storage industry exposure or related roles (preferred).
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in budget management and cost control.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
