The Client
Join a firm who emphasises staff development and career progression within the firm. This office holds approximately 100 staff and they have a broad focus within Advisory, Tax, Reconstruction & Insolvency and Audit & Assurance. They can offer a friendly workplace and a varied client base.
The Role
Take the opportunity to join the audit team of approximately 12 staff and work closely with the Audit Partner. Assist the Partner in driving the workflow and manage and train and mentor staff. Be there for when the partner is away and for the right candidate there is potential to be part of the succession plan for the partner.
The Duties
- Execute audits for organisations at various size
- Develop audit strategies & drafting of audit plans
- Group audit instructions & documenting control environments
- Review files around technical accounting & audit requirements
- Prepare & review of statutory financial reports
- High level of client service through on-site client visits
- Manage, train and mentor staff
The Applicant
- A minimum of 5 years’ External Audit experience
- Local experience in Australia is essential for this role
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field
- CA or CPA qualification in place
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
