The Role
Joining a small non-profit organisation with strong values and vision, this role will provide integral board secretarial support, assist with compliance, effectively coordinate stakeholders and provide ad hoc executive support.
Main responsibilities include:
- Reporting for compliance purposes
- Secretarial support to the Board - including engaging with stakeholders and Board members to arrange meetings, preparing agendas, circulating meeting papers and identifying actions/decisions
- Managing an up-to-date register and maintaining Sharepoint
- Providing timely and accurate membership services
- Organising all aspects for meetings, including travel arrangements, catering, presenters, sound systems and communications
Requirements
- Strong experience in a similar board or committee support role in a dynamic, customer-focused environment
- A proven track record of working effectively with boards or committees to prepare agendas, organise and attend meetings, and follow up on action items
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work cohesively with various internal and external stakeholders to arrange logistics for events/meetings including travel, catering, presenters and other vendors etc
- Some exposure to working in a compliance, risk and/or regulatory environment
- Strong organisational skills, an ability to hit the ground running and a willingness to always go above and beyond in the role
- Proficient in the use of systems with strong attention to detail
- Team-oriented, with a can-do, empathetic and professional attitude
