A high-profile manufacturer, providing high-quality custom sheet metal fabrication and precision CNC machining solutions to various industries for over 35 years, has a vacancy for an experienced sheet metal fabrication estimator in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs.

 

Qualifications

Ideal applicants will have:

• Trades background in the metal fabrication industry

• previous experience in the fabrication or manufacturing industry

• Hands-on knowledge and experience of sheet metal fabrication processes is a huge advantage

• Technical knowledge of steel products and fabrication processes is preferred

• possesses excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Key Responsibilitiesability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

• ability to work through job specs, materials, and labour hours

• preparing detailed cost estimates and pricing proposals for sheet metal and fabricated steel products based on customer drawings and specifications

• perform precise material take-offs and deliver accurate estimates within agreed timelines

• manage tasks effectively to ensure timely submission of estimates and proposals

• work with the sales and production team and the trades personnel on the shop floor to ensure accurate costing

Location

This role is casual or full-time at our new Campbellfield Office (Melbourne)
