Electrical Engineering Technicians/ Production Workers (fixed duration)

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician/ Production Worker looking to join a leading company in the electrical manufacturing industry? Based in our Edinburgh modern manufacturing facility, Mayfield is seeking motivated and reliable Electrical Engineering Technicians/ Production Workers to support our switchboard assembly team for a 6-month fixed duration.

These roles will assist in the mechanical assembly of switchboards for the industrial sector.

The ideal candidates will have experience in:

• Building switchboards

• Assembling products in a manufacturing environment

• The transportable building industry (switchrooms is an advantage)

With attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting in the mechanical assembly of electrical switchboards and control panels.

• Supporting with layout and component installation

• Reading and interpreting assembly drawings  

• Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently

• Performing other general production and workshop duties as required

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment

• Following all workplace health and safety guidelines

Skills and experience

• Previous experience in an electrical manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential)

• Understanding of general mechanical assembly

• Passionate about a hands-on role in building products to a high standard

• Ability to use tools such as battery-operated drills, impact drills, grinders, and pop rivet guns etc.    

• Physically fit and capable of manual work

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Willingness to learn and follow instructions

• Confident with problem solving and a can-do attitude
