The Role

As a member of our dynamic and forward-thinking electrical services team, you will be responsible for providing efficient and innovative design solutions for various building services projects. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of accurate and detailed electrical (power and lighting), communications and security design solutions 

• Preparation of contract documentation for tendering and construction purposes 

• Managing design projects from concept through to completion including the consultation with all members of the design team 

• Attending site to inspect existing services and review construction works 

• Liaising with equipment Suppliers and Manufacturers

• Researching new products, standards and design practices to ensure the Company remains up-to-date with the latest building services technology

• Conducting peer reviews and assisting with junior engineer training and development.

 

Skills and Experience:

Our ideal candidate will:

• Be degree qualified from a tertiary institution recognised in Australia (B Eng Electrical or equivalent)

• Have an existing presence in the Brisbane market. 

• Have a minimum of six (6) years previous experience working with an engineering consultancy or relevant contracting company in building services in the Brisbane market.

• Have RPEQ qualifications. Certification qualifications in other states would be an advantage.

• Have sound knowledge of the BCA and Australian Standards

• Have experience managing multi-disciplinary projects.

• Be proficient at driving and carry a C class license

• Have proven written and verbal communication skills and sound problem-solving skills

• Have the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment

• Have the ability to adapt seamlessly to change within the workplace

• You must have the rights to work in Australia and be based in Brisbane
