Early Childcare Worker/Educator

Montessori Minds Childcare and Kindergarten (MONTESSORI MINDS PTY LTD) in Norlane (North Geelong), is seeking a full time Childcare Worker/Educator with the right attitude and passion for working with children with at 1-2 years of relevant experience and a minimum of a Diploma qualification or equivalent Education.

Task & responsibilities

As the Childcare Worker/Educator, you will perform the following responsibilities and tasks.

• Care for babies and toddlers ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being.
• Create and run engaging activities that help little ones explore their senses, develop new skills and enjoy early learning experiences.
• Help with daily routines like feeding, changing nappies and settling children for naps.
• Observe and keep track of each child’s progress.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Keep the space clean and safe, making sure all hygiene and safety standards are followed.
• Encourage children to develop social and emotional skills.
• Ensure that records are maintained accurately for each child in care

Qualification & experience

• An ACECQA-approved Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Sound, practical working knowledge of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework
• A current and State relevant Working with Children's Check
• A current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates
• A passion for delivering quality inclusive childcare.
• Able to work in a team.
• Good communication skills.
• 1-2 years of experience in highly relevant role required.
