Lead Cloud Transformation across APAC

We are seeking a visionary leader passionate about shaping the future of cloud adoption and translating complex technical strategies into tangible business outcomes for major enterprises and government organisations. This is a strategic leadership role focused on guiding our client’s customers through their complex cloud journeys. You will be the go-to expert for curating cutting-edge cloud strategies, providing technical leadership, and acting as a trusted advisor to senior executives. Your focus will be on leveraging hybrid cloud, migration and modernisation strategies, data architecture, and industry-specific cloud solutions to address critical business challenges and drive customer success. You will play a pivotal role in supporting business development efforts across the APAC region and establishing our client as a thought leader in the cloud space.

Based in their Sydney office, you will drive strategic cloud initiatives and provide expert technical guidance across the Asia-Pacific region. Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Cloud Advisory: Develop comprehensive cloud strategies, assessments, architecture designs (hybrid, distributed), and implementation roadmaps for customers across APAC.
Technical Leadership: Lead end-to-end IT strategy and cloud advisory engagements, providing expert technical guidance and influencing customer stakeholders to ensure successful cloud adoption and downstream opportunities for our client.
Trusted Advisor: Engage with senior client executives (C-suite level) to understand their business objectives, identify critical success factors, and position cloud and AI enablement as solutions to their core challenges.
Business Development: Collaborate closely with Sales teams to generate new business, manage key customer and stakeholder relationships, and contribute to strategic planning for major customer pursuits.
Thought Leadership & Market Intelligence: Actively publish whitepapers/blogs, present at industry conferences, build intellectual capital (case studies, playbooks), and maintain deep expertise in evolving cloud technologies, market trends, and customer needs.
Consulting Expertise: Provide expert advice across Cloud and Data Architecture, Industry Cloud solutions, Cloud Optimisation, Operating Models, Ecosystem Integration, and support during Mergers & Divestitures.
Team Enablement: Participate in hiring, oversee team activities, develop KPIs, mitigate risks, and ensure regulatory compliance.

What You'll Bring:

A strong customer-centric mindset with the ability to act as a trusted advisor.
Proven ability to assess business challenges and identify/evaluate new opportunities.
Exceptional leadership and team/project management capabilities.
Deep technical understanding and experience in several of the following: Hybrid Cloud architecture, Cloud Migration & Modernisation strategies, DevSecOps principles and tooling, distributed cloud concepts, data architecture design, microservices/serverless architectures, API strategy, cloud-native services, Cloud FinOps and resource optimisation techniques.
Outstanding ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for non-technical audiences, particularly senior executives.
Demonstrated experience in coordinating across diverse, cross-functional teams.
Strong strategic planning, decision-making, and effective presentation skills.
Focus on delivering tangible business value and measurable outcomes.
Passion about technology, driving innovation, and staying ahead of industry trends.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

Relevant Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), particularly advanced certifications.
An MBA or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant field (Finance, Business, Technology).
Prior experience leading complex technology delivery engagements.
Sales acumen, negotiation and influencing skills.
High adaptability to rapidly emerging technologies.
