About the Role

We are seeking a Diploma Qualified Educator with a minimum of 3 years’ experience (preferably in a long day care setting), who is dedicated to creating inspiring learning environments for children aged 0–6 years. This is a full-time position offering excellent opportunities for growth, supported by a strong and collaborative team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing and implementing high-quality educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and guided by the National Quality Standards (NQS) and National Quality Framework (NQF)

• Observing, planning, and documenting children’s learning and development with attention to detail

• Building nurturing and respectful relationships with children, families, and the wider team

• Creating safe, stimulating, and inclusive environments that promote children’s agency, creativity, and well-being

• Supporting children with challenging behaviours using positive guidance strategies, emotional regulation support, and developmentally appropriate approaches

• Actively contributing to the centre’s philosophy, quality improvement practices, and collaborative team culture

• Communicating effectively with families and team members, and maintaining professional written documentation

• Participating in regular professional development and embracing opportunities for growth and leadership

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent)

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an early childhood long day care setting

• Experience in supporting children with challenging behaviours through inclusive and supportive practices

• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQF, and NQS

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills

• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and build trusting relationships with children and families

• Strong organisational abilities and high attention to detail

• A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing the highest standard of care

• Current certifications in First Aid, Asthma Management, and Anaphylaxis

• A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)

• Understanding of child protection requirements and commitment to child safety
