This includes working with many of Australia's largest operators of diesel equipment and fleets including publicly listed companies and government agencies. We work with many large private businesses as well as smaller owner/operators right the way through to passion projects such as motorhome power upgrades or marine engine rebuilds for private use yachts.

About the role

You will be working in our factory on the Gold Coast testing and building engines. 

We specialise in American and European engines - Caterpillar, Cummins, DAF, Detroit, Iveco, MACK, MAN, Mercedes, Perkins, Scania, Volvo etc.

The factory consists of our sales office, stock warehouse which is full of diesel engines and parts, and large mechanics warehouse where our team of mechanics build and repair diesel engines for our customers.

We are looking for an experienced mechanic to join our team.

We operate in a niche and interesting market, where what we sell and rebuild is primarily large diesel engines and related equipment for trucks, buses, boats, agricultural and mining machinery.

-  No climbing under trucks, or in tight confines of a boat, or in scorching desert heat. Work in our factory, working on a bench, testing and building engines. 
 

- The role has a 3-month probation period, after which, you will be offered permanent employment.

Skills and experience

• Trade certificate as a Diesel Fitter, Engine Reconditioning or Heavy Diesel Mechanic or similar
• Experience in European and American diesel engines is highly regarded
• Understanding of engine rebuilding requirements and procedures.
• Good level of engine understanding and fault finding diagnosis ability 
• Australian working rights
