About the Role:Reporting to the Head of Data, and a key member of the ICT team, the Data Engineer’s role is to support architecture/design and structured implementation of InvoCare’s data warehousing and data integration requirements.Key Responsibilities:Deliver high quality data engineering/data warehousing solutions to meet InvoCare’s data needsMaintain processes to ensure InvoCare’s data warehousing environments are fit for purpose, secure, and optimisedUnderstand business drivers, strategic goals and prioritiesUnderstand the goals and drivers of InvoCare’s data strategyDevelop relationships with SMEs, stakeholders and customers to ensure their interests and objectives are aligned with data project deliverablesDocument and maintain automations, administrative processes, and relevant support systems to ensure the support team have the most up-to-date information and efficient processes with which to carry out their dutiesActively manage the support requests queue within stakeholder expectationsStructure and submit application and configuration changes, and contribute to Change Advisory Board discussionsActively participate in workshops and meetings as a platform SMEWhat We're Looking For:Experience in Azure Data Warehouse/ADF with hands on experience with Synapse/FabricProven experience with managing Azure DevOps projects and branches.Strong experience with Spark, APIs, JSON, Parquet & other modern cloud data sources & file formats.Strong knowledge of multi-dimensional/Kimball and Data Vault modelling.Expert level knowledge of PySpark, Matplotlib, dyplr and other Python libraries to leverage within Synapse workbooks.Ability to develop, test and maintain data engineering solutions and data provisioning products in a high-demand multi-project environment.Demonstrated experience in analysing and documenting business processes and mapping technical design to requirements.Ability to work independently and engage with internal and external teams on multiple projects.High level analytical and technical capabilities, applied to complex programs of work.Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Software Engineering or similarWhy join us?
