Job Description:

We are a leading Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Agency seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team and play a key role in optimising our clients' digital experiences and conversion performance. In this role, you’ll go beyond reporting — diving deep into user behaviour, conversion funnels, and testing data to help identify what’s working, what’s not, and what to do about it.

You’ll combine qualitative and quantitative insights using tools like Google Analytics, heatmaps, session recordings, usability testing platforms, and A/B testing results to uncover friction points and opportunities. Your analysis will directly influence strategy and experimentation across websites, landing pages, and campaign touchpoints.


Key Responsibilities:

Web Analytics & Performance Monitoring

  • Use Google Analytics and similar platforms to track website traffic, conversion rates, and behavioural flows.
  • Build and monitor custom events, goals, and segments to understand key drop-off points and success metrics.
  • Identify anomalies or shifts in performance and investigate root causes.

Conversion Funnel & User Journey Analysis

  • Analyse end-to-end user journeys across the conversion funnel (homepage, product/category pages, forms, checkout, etc.).
  • Highlight areas of user friction and missed opportunities using scroll maps, click maps, and attention maps.

A/B Testing & Experiment Analysis

  • Work closely with the experimentation team to analyse test outcomes and produce clear, statistically valid post-test reports.
  • Provide insights on which segments were impacted and why, and make recommendations for follow-up experiments.
  • Validate test reliability and statistical significance using appropriate methodologies.

User Behaviour Tools

  • Use heatmaps, session recordings, and usability testing tools (e.g. Hotjar, Clarity, Contentsquare, Maze) to explore how users interact with websites.
  • Segment user feedback and behavioural patterns by device type, traffic source, and audience segment.

Insight & Recommendation Delivery

  • Translate data into clear insights and prioritised recommendations that can be acted on by UX designers, copywriters, and developers.
  • Present findings in internal meetings and client presentations, ensuring complex data is communicated clearly and persuasively.

Campaign & Channel Performance Support

  • Help identify which marketing channels (SEO, paid search, social, etc.) are contributing to valuable traffic and conversions.
  • Support client decision-making by tracking ROI on CRO initiatives and paid campaigns.

Data Visualisation & Reporting

  • Build dashboards and data visualisations to provide at-a-glance insights into performance and testing results.
  • Tailor reports to different audiences (marketers, designers, execs) with the right level of detail.

Implementation Support & Data Accuracy

  • Assist with setting up analytics tools, tag management (e.g. GTM), and A/B test tracking.
  • Conduct quality assurance to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

Client Collaboration & Strategy Alignment

  • Work directly with clients to understand their goals and ensure data work aligns with broader CRO strategy.
  • Participate in discovery workshops and strategy planning sessions to contribute to research and hypothesis development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Psychology, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with Google Analytics (GA4 preferred) and interpreting digital behaviour data.
  • Strong working knowledge of conversion rate optimisation, digital user journeys, and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with tools such as Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, Crazy Egg, FullStory, Maze, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Contentsquare is highly beneficial — especially for understanding digital experience metrics like zone-based heatmaps and journey analysis.
  • Proficiency in A/B test evaluation, statistical analysis, and post-test reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical findings into actionable business insights.
  • Experience working directly with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of digital marketing concepts (SEO, PPC, email, paid social).
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for identifying hidden stories in the data.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with SQL, Looker Studio, Power BI, or other data platforms.
