Crane Operator Processing, Zinc/Lead Concentrator- Maintenance Support Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia Ref. No. 41342 Mount Isa Mines is currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join the team, operating a 130-tonne crane primarily within the Zinc Lead Concentrator. This role also provides crane support across the Lead Smelter, Copper Smelter, and George Fisher Mine (GFM). You’ll play a key role in executing complex lifts, supporting maintenance activities, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mobile lifting equipment across multiple processing areas.
Reporting to the Supervisor – Maintenance Support, you will work a 56-hour week roster with the flexibility to support call-ins and after-hours work as required by operational demands.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Operate the 130T crane safely and effectively in line with operational and project requirements
Plan and execute complex lifting operations to support maintenance and project activities across the Zinc Lead Concentrator, Lead Smelter, Copper Smelter, and GFM.
Perform lifting tasks in accordance with lift plans, safety procedures, and site standards
Support shutdowns, infrastructure upgrades, and other fixed plant project work
Assist with mobilisation/demobilisation of mobile equipment and site logistics
Load/unload trucks and provide general support to the maintenance and workshop teams as required
You will have the following skillset and attributes:
High Risk Work Licence – C0 (Crane over 100T) – mandatory
Dogging (DG) and Basic Rigging (RB) tickets – mandatory
HR (Heavy Rigid) Licence – mandatory
CN (Non-slewing mobile crane) and CB (Bridge and gantry crane) tickets – desirable
EWP (Elevated Work Platform) High Risk Ticket
Experience operating mobile cranes in a heavy industrial or mining environment
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
SAP experience desirable
