Position One: Cook

About the Role: Step into the essential role of Cook and support our Kitchen Team Leader and Site Manager in delivering high-quality catering services. Your role is crucial in ensuring our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals, enhancing their dining experience, and contributing to our mission of holistic care.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare meals according to standard recipes and rotating menus, ensuring proper portion sizes, textures, nutrition, and service temperature.
• Maintain high hygiene standards in the kitchen and ensure all equipment is clean and functional.
• Support the Kitchen Team Leader in delivering quality food services and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure residents receive appetising and nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences.
• Comply with the Food Act 2006 (Qld) and Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code.

Position Two: Kitchen Assistant

About the Role: Step into the essential role of Kitchen Assistant and support our Kitchen Team Leader, Cook, and Site Manager in delivering high-quality catering services. Your role is crucial in ensuring our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals, enhancing their dining experience, and contributing to our mission of holistic care.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with the preparation and delivery of meals, beverages, and snacks.
• Support meal service and collection from rooms, wings, and dining areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen utensils, equipment, and areas.
• Ensure proper food labelling, stock rotation, and compliance with Sundale’s Food Safety Program.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and contribute to achieving budget outcomes.

What We’re Looking For:

• Ability to comply with Sundale’s Food Safety Program.
• Experience in food preparation, stock control, and kitchen operations.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
• Positive outlook and approach, with a commitment to high-quality service delivery.

Essential Requirements:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (desirable).
