Our Client No.19 Cafe in Ascot Vale is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and hygiene, and working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Prepare, season, cook, and present meals and dishes according to the menu.
Monitor food preparation methods and presentation to ensure quality standards.
Manage kitchen operations, including food hygiene and safety practices.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and consistent service
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
Order food supplies and maintain stock control and inventory.
Minimize food wastage by effective portioning and storage.
Cook for special dietary requirements (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free, allergies).
Adhere to occupational health and safety standards and local food safety laws.
Collaborate with other staff to prepare menus.
Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, dicing, marinating, and thawing.
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
1-2 Years of relevant experience in the industry.
