About the Opportunity
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Local is community-led and integrated through partnership that shares power, creating a responsive, flexible, and helpful service.
Working together, Wellways, Eastern Health, Inspiro Health and Oonah will provide a range of support and therapies specific to what the community needs, whenever and wherever they are needed. Lived experience, inclusivity and partnership will underpin all our work. This is a new way of doing things and creates an amazing opportunity to drive much-needed mental health improvements for our communities.
We are looking for a passionate individual to engage with stakeholders and support co-design initiatives to improve the Mental Health and Wellbeing Local service. As our new Community Engagement and Inclusion Worker, you will be participating in community outreach, collaborating on solution design, facilitating social prescriptions, and connecting individuals with training and employment opportunities. The position also involves working closely with internal teams to enhance participant engagement and overall wellbeing.
An opportunity exists for this role to being a part time (from 0.6FTE, equivalent to 3 days per week) or a full-time role for the right candidate to fit your best work / life balance. Pro rata salary would apply for part time employment.
About you
You will share our passion for making a difference in our community, have a deep understanding of mental health, addiction, and other co-occurring presentations, and will be able to engage with diverse services and participants.
You will have strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to advocate for service participants by fostering an environment where diversity is celebrated, and participants can engage in activities which support their personal goals.
