As a Cook at Coffee Club Harbourtown, you’ll play a key role in bringing our promise to life. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and cooking all-day breakfast favorites, café-style lunches, and seasonal specials using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Ensuring every dish reflects our commitment to Good Food, meeting dietary needs and quality standards.
  • Collaborating with kitchen staff to efficiently prepare and serve orders on time.
  • Plating and garnishing meals to align with our café’s signature style.
  • Managing kitchen inventory by ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
  • Conducting food safety and hygiene checks to uphold our excellent standards.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and ensuring all equipment is in top condition.
  • Contributing to menu development with creative ideas and recipe enhancements.
  • Supporting and mentoring kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.

Qualification & Experience

Qualifications

  • A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Cook, ideally in a café or similar setting.
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certification

Skills

  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Attention to detail to ensure dishes are consistently high quality and beautifully presented.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to create a positive kitchen environment.
  • Creativity and passion for delivering exceptional food experiences.
