The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Cloud and Systems Administrator who will take the lead in overseeing our IT infrastructure and support our operational teams. This role will be instrumental in ensuring our technology ecosystem runs smoothly and securely across diverse, remote project sites. Key Responsibilities
- IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of on-premise and cloud-based systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Microsoft Cloud Services: Manage Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including user administration, security policies, and platform optimization. 
- Networking & Security: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Sophos networking solutions, firewalls, and related security protocols across multiple sites.
- Project Leadership: Lead IT projects end-to-end, from scoping and planning to execution and ongoing support—ensuring alignment with business objectives. 
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with external vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to facilitate efficient service delivery.
- Team Guidance: Provide hands-on support and mentorship to a small team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration. 
- System Optimization: Proactively identify technology improvements and optimization opportunities, including enhancements to security, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- ERP Oversight (Bonus): Support and maintain Viewpoint ERP (if experienced), collaborating with business units on integrations and troubleshooting. 

About You
- Technical Expertise: Proven track record in Microsoft Cloud management (Azure, Microsoft 365) and Sophos networking solutions.
- Hands-On Approach: You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves to provide direct technical support and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor IT teams, as well as manage IT projects with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Adept at diagnosing technical challenges quickly and implementing robust, scalable solutions.
- Mining/Construction Experience (preferred): Exposure to remote site support, infrastructure constraints, and industry-specific safety considerations is a plus. 
- ERP Experience (bonus): Knowledge of Viewpoint or similar ERP systems will be highly regarded.
