As Clinical Coordinator – Governance and Practice, you will support with clinical care subject matter expertise and coordinate various quality, safety, compliance, and risk management activities enabling Suncare to achieve the highest standard of clinical care and practice and meet clinical related standards within Aged Care services. You will enjoy playing a key role in supporting Suncare to embed clinical requirements and contemporary evidence-based practice into everyday practice. This opportunity is available on a permanent full-time basis (Monday to Friday), with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements that include working at a Suncare office (North Lakes or Maroochydore) and from home. More about the role Reporting to the Clinical Manager – Governance and Practice, you will: Develop and maintain clinical care related policies, procedures, and frameworks as they relate to clinical standards and practice and as required facilitate internal workshops Conduct Quality Assurance checks and audits, including site, clinical, credentialing, training audits and accreditationSupport with reviewing and investigating clinical related complaints, feedback, and incidents Contribute to Clinical Governance Framework implementation and review, and provide support to Operations so to meet clinical care compliance, quality, safety, and best practiceConduct ongoing quality review of clinical care documentationIdentify any emerging clinical risks and provide appropriate mitigation recommendations using dataReview existing clinical risks, assess effectiveness of existing mitigations and provide recommendations as necessaryReview clinical care incidents to understand trends, themes and to support continuous improvementSupport the implementation of quality improvement systems and processes to maximise high quality care and minimise clinical safety risks, supported by a robust clinical governance frameworkContinuously develop and apply knowledge of legislative requirements and the Aged Care Quality Standards so to provide accurate information and recommendations (in consultation with Clinical Manager – Governance and Practice) to internal stakeholders What you will bring to our team Tertiary qualification in Nursing or Allied Health and current AHPRA registrationDemonstrated experience in the Health and Human Services sector e.g., hospital settings, aged care or disability servicesExperience working in a similar position including demonstrated experience in policy, procedure, and framework development, and clinical related auditsKnowledge of relevant legislation and standards for Aged CareStrong understanding of continuous improvement concepts Strong stakeholder engagement skills Exceptional time management and organisation skills Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to be innovative in problem solvingProfessionalism, resilience, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills What we offer At Suncare our people really are our greatest asset.
