About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team. This role involves preparing sketches, plans, and designs for civil engineering projects, including drainage, roads, bridges, and water systems. The successful candidate will assist with fieldwork, data analysis, cost estimation, and compliance inspections to support infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare designs, sketches, and technical drawings for civil projects.

Conduct fieldwork, laboratory tests, and data analysis.

Interpret work assignment instructions, apply appropriate procedures, and select the necessary equipment.

Estimate material costs and ensure compliance with regulations and contract provisions.

Inspect worksites and coordinate maintenance and repair tasks.

Perform soil and material tests and collect data for traffic surveys.

Key Criteria

To be considered a successful candidate you should possess the following.

AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (or equivalent) in Australia.

3+ years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.

Proficiency in civil design software and drafting tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of construction materials, standards, and regulations.

Registration or licensing may be required, depending on location.
