The National Golf Club is looking to engage a full time Chef de Partie to join our friendly and dedicated team.  Reporting to the Executive Chef and Head Chefs, working along with our highly motived kitchen team, making a positive contribution to the Club.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings as well as weekends.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare specific food items and meal component at your station
  • Follow directions provided by the head chefs
  • Collaborating with the rest of the culinary team to ensure high-quality food and service
  • Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards
  • Keeping your area in the kitchen safety and sanitary
  • Stocktaking and ordering supplies for your station
  • Operate and maintain all department equipment and reporting of malfunctioning equipment.
  • Assisting in other areas of the kitchen when required

Task & responsibilities

Prepare and present a variety of modern Australian and international dishes

Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency

Maintain kitchen hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness to regulatory standards

Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials

Monitor stock levels, assist in ordering and inventory control

Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment

Train and supervise kitchen staff as required


Qualification & experience

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum)

Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Chef in a busy kitchen

Experience in bistro or club dining highly regarded

Strong understanding of food safety standards (HACCP knowledge preferred)

Excellent communication and time management skills

Ability to work across rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
