The Chase Hotel is the total entertainment venue. Established in 1995, The Chase Hotel is located on Level 3 of the Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre.

We seek an experienced Chef to work on a rotating basis within a fast-paced environment. Our team is an established one; we value our staff just as much as our loyal customers and offer great working conditions.

 

Summary of Position:

 

·       Assist in the planning of menus and determining food quantities and costs

·       Prepare, cook and plate food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience

·       Monitor food quality and presentation

·       Manage and train Cooks and Kitchenhands in food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety

·       Order and maintain inventory of food and kitchen supplies, ensuring it meets daily production needs

·       Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and improve existing recipes

·       Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure efficient food service

·       Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen

·       Oversee hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen

 

To be successful in the role, you will need to have the following qualifications:

·       Skill Level 2: AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or at least three years of relevant experience

·       Applicable skills assessment

Requirements:

 

·       Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment

·       Knowledge of Food Hygiene and OH&S Standards

·       A professional presentation and approach

·       A passion for food

·       Ability to work closely with management to ensure the consistent high-quality service is provided

·       A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and good communication skills

·       Ability to work well within a team environment and under pressure

·       Be available to workdays, nights and weekends and have your own reliable transport

·       Innovative and organized
