Task & responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes in accordance with the menu and company standards.
• Develop and innovate new menu items to keep offerings fresh and appealing.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented consistently, adhering to quality and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Manage food safety and hygiene practices in compliance with health regulations.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient kitchen operations and excellent customer service.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff as needed, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve any food-related issues promptly and professionally.
• Assist in inventory management and portion control to minimize waste and control costs.
• Stay updated with industry trends and implement best practices in the kitchen.

Qualification & experience

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a chef or in a similar culinary role.
• Proven skills in food preparation, presentation, and kitchen management.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and workplace safety regulations.
