Task & responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals from scratch for children, considering individual dietary requirements and allergies.
• Develop and maintain seasonal menus in line with nutritional guidelines and centre policies.
• Manage all aspects of kitchen operations including inventory, food safety, and cleanliness.
• Order supplies and liaise with suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff across multiple locations (if applicable).
• Collaborate with Centre Directors to ensure smooth integration of kitchen operations within daily routines.

Qualification & experience

• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a qualified Chef.
• Certificate III, IV in Commercial Cookery as well as Diploma of Hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of food allergies, nutrition standards, and safe food handling.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage high-volume meal preparation efficiently.
• Experience in early education or childcare food services is highly regarded.
