Job Title: Chef (ANZSCO 351311)Location: Yankee's Restaurant & Bar – Surfers ParadiseEmployment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and oversee the preparation and presentation of meals in line with our menu and standards.

Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and visual appeal of all dishes.

Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain a productive and harmonious work environment.

Maintain inventory, manage stock rotation, and ensure timely ordering of supplies.

Uphold high standards of cleanliness and comply with food safety regulations.

Contribute to seasonal menu development and suggest innovative dishes.

Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality control at all times.

Requirements:

Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.

Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working as a Chef in a fast-paced kitchen.

Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

Proven leadership and time-management skills.

Creativity and a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences.

Flexibility to work across shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Desirable:

Understanding of dietary requirements and ability to adapt dishes accordingly.
