This course is primarily hands-on, with much of the learning taking place in the field. Elders and local experts play a key role in sharing their knowledge and teaching various topics. In past years, participants have had the opportunity to conduct cultural burns on Country and create bush food gardens.

When: The course runs two days per week April to April with holidays during school term breaks. The course is structured for Thursday in the classroom and Friday in the field. The course is accredited and delivered in partnership with Holmesglen Institute of TAFE and Traditional Owners.
How Much: The course is free for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
Where: The course is completed around the Greater Melbourne area at various locations. Holmesglen TAFE is located in Glen Waverley where students meet every Thursday. Transport will be provided from that site for field days.
