About the Position
This role will be part of a casual pool of Security Officer/Rangers within the Rangers and Security branch at the City of Bayswater. As part of the Rangers and Security team you will play a valuable crime prevention and community safety role in our community and be responsible for undertaking security patrols, providing advice and information on ranger and security service matters, enforcing local laws and emergency management. This position is integral to providing a high level of customer service as the first point of contact with the community.
You will be required to respond to and investigate actions arising from service requests, issue infringement notices and take action in relation to breaches of legislation and local laws. You will be required to work independently whilst on patrol as well as contribute to working in a positive team environment.
About You
We are looking for candidates who will bring enthusiasm, and a passion and commitment to providing outstanding customer service, the ability to deal with challenging situations which can be physically demanding and you will have proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Applicants will hold a National Police Clearance, Security Licence issued by WA Police, “C” class Drivers Licence, Certificate II in Security Operations and a current First Aid Certificate.
This is a shift work position, and the successful candidate will be required to perform 10 hour shifts, as part of a 24/7 roster.
