Carpenter (Multiple Roles)

Full-time role (38 hours per week)

Salary: $77000-$85000

Location: Minchinbury, NSW 2770

Adaptive Concepts Pty Ltd specialises in bespoke joinery and carpentry for customers in Australia, including supply to the growing Aged Care sector. We are a well-established and respected company, recognised across the industry as a trusted partner in delivering high-quality commercial fit-outs, refurbishments, and ground-up construction projects throughout the Riverina, New South Wales, Victoria, and Canberra. We are seeking Carpenters to join our fast growing business.

They will be undertaking the following responsibilities:

• Accurately reading and interpreting project plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand client specifications and site requirements for both residential and commercial fit-outs.
• Using measuring tapes, pencils, and digital measuring tools to determine precise material dimensions and layout alignments, ensuring minimal waste and optimal fit
• Cutting and shaping wood to form structures and fittings ready for installation using saws and chisels as per specifications and drawings
• Assembling and joining wooden parts to build doors, frames, shelves and other wooden and structural components using nails, screws, staples and adhesives, as appropriate.
• Ensuring proper alignment, angles and positioning of wooden structures using spirit levels and against the blueprints.
• Installing doors, cupboards, skirting boards as required.
• Installing door handles, hinges, locks, drawer systems, railings, and other finish hardware with attention to both functionality and appearance.
• Repairing, removing and/or replacing wooden parts and structures that are damaged.
• Estimating the amounts, types, or costs of needed materials.

Qualifications:

• relevant qualifications including certificate III or IV in Carpentry
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in addition to relevant qualifications is required, or alternatively, at least 3 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of relevant qualifications
