Task & responsibilities

•    Interpret and work from technical drawings and construction plans

•    Perform carpentry tasks, including partitioning and refurbishment on a variety of commercial fit-out projects, including offices, schools, laboratories, and warehouses

•    Supply, handle (cutting, shaping and fitting using powered and non-powered tools), and install building and other materials in accordance with project specifications

•    Construct and install internal wall and ceiling frameworks using timber and plasterboard

•    Install and replace ceilings, ceiling tiles, trims, doors, and hardware

•    Repair and patch damaged interior walls and surfaces as needed

•    Ensure worksite safety and compliance with industry standards

•    Collaborate with site supervisors, and other trades to complete work on schedule

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III in Carpentry
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in commercial carpentry and fit-outs
• Proven experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications
• Strong hands-on skills in timber work, drywall, framework, and finishing
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and lead small teams onsite
