SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $100,000 plus superannuation
Task & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyse construction drawings and specifications to determine formwork requirements, including dimensions, materials, and installation procedures
- Plan and prepare layouts, ensuring accurate measurements and alignment for formwork construction
- Select appropriate materials, such as timber, plywood, frames, Dokadek, rediwall, bondek, and other for formwork fabrication
- Cut, shape, and assemble formwork components using hand and power tools, ensuring precision and adherence to design specifications
- Erect and install formwork systems for various structural elements, including foundations, columns, walls, slabs, and staircases
- Ensure the stability and alignment of formwork structures, incorporating necessary bracing and supports
- Collaborate with steel fixers and concreters to coordinate the placement of reinforcement and concrete pouring activities
- Inspect completed formwork installations for accuracy and compliance with safety and quality standards
- Dismantle and remove formwork after concrete has set, cleaning and storing reusable materials appropriately
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and used safely
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations, promoting a safe and productive work environment
Qualification & experience
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate III and/or proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably within the formwork and concreting sectors.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of construction materials and installation procedures.
- Familiarity with safety standards and building codes.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
