Role Overview
As a Business Development Representative, you will leverage your current network and industry expertise to drive new business opportunities.
In addition, you will develop new client relationships to foster lasting partnerships for the benefit of your portfolio and the Company.
This is a dynamic role that requires initiative, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to adapt in an ever-evolving business environment. You will work closely with our marketing, estimating, and support teams to identify and pursue new business avenues, ensuring our clients receive tailored, cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Generate New Business: Initiate outbound calls, convert inbound inquiries, and leverage your professional network to identify new opportunities.
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and continued business growth.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing, estimating, and support teams to identify business opportunities and meet client needs.
Proposals & Quotes: Develop tailored quotes and proposals for clients, demonstrating the value and competitive edge of our services.
Industry Engagement: Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to strengthen your professional network and uncover new business prospects.
Overnight travel within the state may be required from time to time.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a proactive, forward-thinking professional with:
A proven track record in sales
The ability to initiate and drive conversations, converting leads into wins
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally
A focus on developing and delivering solutions for your customers
Essential Qualifications & Skills
A minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or business development
Strong customer focus and problem-solving skills
Experience winning new work in the Construction Industry
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and basic Excel
Professional, self-motivated, and results-driven work ethic
Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
A valid Australian driver’s license
Legally eligible to work in Australia
